Hi, I still haven't solved
Hi,
I still haven't solved the problem of RB not working at all in my Opera 11.51 (see my post of Mon 11/28).
May I - desperately - ask for help again? Please take a look at my screenshot of how the RB page looks in my Opera's extension manager:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8233092/RBextension.png
Note that if I click on the blue icon, nothing happens. And there is no "settings" button anywhere, either. So my question is: is the page supposed to look this weird and empty? If not, then what in my cat's name might be causing the problem? I'm still completely at a loss!
Thanks for any help!

Hi,
Did you try intalling another extension?
Your Opera looks bugged
11.51 extension manager looks like this:

If you use a custom skin, try using default or make a clean Opera reinstall.
followup
Thanks for your help. I can tell this:
(1) Switching skin and/or buttons to default makes no difference whatsoever.
(2) Uninstalling and then reinstalling Opera, then reinstalling the extension makes no difference either: the same problem returns. I had already tried that, btw.
(3) Installing another extension (LastPass) indeed shows the very same problem. So the cause is probably not in the RB extension itself: it looks like for some reason Opera's extension manager won't work properly for any extension.
(4) Weird thing is, I have three PC's (two Win7 x32, and one Win7 x64) and on all three Opera has this very same extensions problem.
Thinking about possible reasons, I wonder if one of the following scenarios might be causing the problem:
(a) extension files are somehow installed in a wrong place (not in the directory where Opera expects them to be), or
(b) perhaps my antivirus might be blocking Opera extension files from being saved at all (although I get no warning popups indicating so).
I did a system-wide search for files and folders named "extension(s)" and found lots of them (for example for Libre Office) but none for Opera. There is an Opera "plugins" folder but no Opera "extensions" folder anywhere, not under Appdata\...\Opera nor under Program Files\Opera. To check further on this possibility, I would like to know two things:
- in what folder (path, name) are Opera extension files supposed to be installed?
- what are the exact names of the files that are supposed to present after installing the RB extension?
It would be a great help if you could pass me this information. Thanks again!
Cannot get Redirect Bypasser to work in Opera 11.51
Hi,
I just installed Redirect Bypasser (RB) extension in Opera 11.51, but I am at a loss how to make it work. Of course I went to Manage Extensions (yes it was in the list) and made sure it was enabled (so yes, it is enabled). But what next?
Everything is just as it was before installing RB. There is no button visible for it in any of the Opera toolbars (yes I checked them all), there also are no RB popups when hovering over a link, any redirecting links (for example at Google) are still redirecting, and I have no idea where and how I can open the RB settings window (the left one of the screenshots here on this site).
What am I missing? Do I need to enable Javascript or something like that, to get it going? Or do I need to hit some secret hotkey first? If you can help me, please do! Thanks...
To open the RB settings
To open the RB settings window : Go to extension manager, then click in the tool icon > preferences...
to test the extension, search something google images, you will see a blue icon with the true link to the images.

I do see a blue squarish textballoon-shaped thing in the extensions manager screen for RB (it is the only colored thing in the gray screen, which for the rest is mainly empty). But if I click on it, nothing at all happens, nothing pops up. So I still don't get it. Can you explain further? Thanks!
Please remove the button
Please remove the button beside the search bar, it serves absolutely no effect and only takes up space.

Brilliant. A must have !
Hi, this is very good
Hi,
this is very good extension. I'm using it with Opera. But I'm missing one important thing. There should be an option to overwrite the redirected link with clear link by default so you don't need to click on any popup and just show popup box with original link for the case if something will work bad.
Now I must visually check every link for popup box and then click on it. This slowdowns my work. Thanks
Failed in Opera 11.50
Hello, this is exactly the extension I was intended to write when I found it (today, 11.8.2011). But! Now using Opera 11.50 the extension is not working. I tried everything and no popups showed. So I've tried to install Popup statusbar extension mentioned on Bypasser's page (but not required!) and it finally made them appear. But the popups are showing and the bottom of the page. So simply I'm not fast enough to click :)
Is there a way to update it, please?
bug with combo boxes
Hi,
I experience a strange bug when Redirect Bypasser 1.2.0 is enabled in Opera 11.50 under Windows 7 Home Premium x64 (Hungarian): some combo boxes are empty. For example on this page: http://www.easyjet.com/asp/hu/utvonalak/timetables.asp the first combo box is populated, but the second is empty. It shows the correct number of entries, but no text. When I disable Redirect Bypasser, everything works as it should. Most annoying it is on ebay, where I cannot change the 'shipping to' field.
Adding new URLs?
So how do I add a new one like, oh, herleider.nl (dutch)? I can't seem to find a way to do that. Or even to get it to work, but that may be because it doesn't recognize the redirectors I've tried.
Thanks for this plugin. It
Thanks for this plugin.
It would be great if you can remove the icon and use a configuration page (in extension's management window) because we don't need an "only one-click access" to it all the time.
ditto
i agree. until opera doesn't allow to move around extension icons, the prefs could be easily accessed as most other extensions, in the manager panel.
thanks.
correction
i meant "until opera allows". sorry.

Hi moonlight21,
I like your Redirect Bypasser plugin!
Found one bug.
If you check out the URL at the following link:
pastebin.com/Zu3KxmvJ
You'll notice that the plugin can't parse parameter URLs.
Let me know if I can help you test. Thanks! I hate referer links! :)
